I loved reading this Mark. I had an old Olivetti M40/3 I think it was - typewriter for years. We werent very well off and I recall Dad bringing this home one day and finally getting it for my xmas present months later! I still used it often with schooling and then in my early work life until I was in my early 20s and sadly sold it. I loved the ribbon half red half black... and a great solid beast of a machine
