These images are a celebration of the joy of taking and viewing photographs. In September 2008 my partner and I spent three weeks in Argentina. We spent a couple of weeks exploring the provinces of Salta And Jujoy in the northwest of the country, and from there ascended to the altiplano or high plateau that forms the base of the Andes, rising to altitudes of over 4000 metres. For my holiday snaps I used a Rolleiflex, a medium-format twin lens reflex camera from the 1950s; around me other tourists held their digital cameras at arm's length, but I was happy using the technology and aesthetics of half a century earlier to document my trip.
