Mark Beehre is a photographer, writer and oral historian living and working in Wellington. He is the author of Men Alone — Men
Together, a significant work combining oral history and photography in documenting the lives of 45 gay men and recounting how their journeys have, for the moment, led them towards or
away from relationship with another. Men Alone — Men
Together is available from the publisher and from bookshops around the country.
Mark's latest project, A Queer Existence, again incorporates photography and oral history to record the stories of a group of gay men born since Homosexual Law Reform in 1986. Read more here. If you're interested in taking part, contact Mark here.
Mark is currently working on a number of other projects for exhibition and publication as well as writing and photographing on a free-lance basis. He has extensive experience in environmental portraiture and is available for commissioned work including civil unions and weddings.
